Ooni of Ife, His highness,Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II:The MAN Who Is Bringing Grace, Elegance, Style and Intellectualism To The Premier Throne of the Yoruba race Set For Mike Omotosho Annual Lecture 2017

“Like all magnificent things, it's very simple.”
BY MIKE CERUTTI .

Natalie Babbitt was an American writer and illustrator of children's books   in her thought provoking book titled ELEGANCE: THE PHILOSOPHY OF SIMPLICITY submitted in a quote that
“Like all magnificent things, it's very simple.”

Such can be said to be the story of the man, Ooni of Ife, His highness,Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, who is said to be  nothing but a child of destiny. But he did have a prophetic birth – destined for greatness.
Today, Ooni Ogunwusi, from the stock of the Giesi Ruling House, fulfills his destiny as he receives the staff of office from the government as the 51st Ooni of Ife, on the throne of the legendary Oduduwa, progenitor of Yoruba. Ooni Ogunwusi has a great pedigree, descending from Ooni Ojaja Orasigba who reigned from 1878 to 1880, as the 44th Ooni of Ife. Ojaja Orasigba begat Adegosan Adewole Ogunwusi, who gave birth to Joseph Olagbaju Adewole Ogunwusi (Jnr), the father of Prince John Oluropo Ogunwusi, the father of Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi – the present Ooni of Ife. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is, unarguably, a true 21st century monarch who is bringing grace, elegance, style and
intellectualism to the premier throne of the Yoruba race.

Such grace and simplicity is what makes the Oni to be different from traditional chief of those days that hardly leaves their palace or attend external functions, not anymore, the present day Oni, leaves  and mix freely with youths, footballers and musicians, and it is no wonder that come tomorrow, at the MIKE OMOTOSHO ANNUAL LECTURE 2017, he has been named as the father of the day and will be giving the keynote speaking duty

Confirming this, Dr Mike Omotosho told CERUTTI MEDIA that he is excited that his Oba, friend and brother will be attending the 2017 lecture live, speaking in a similar vein as to what motivated the lecture, Dr Omotosho stressed that “ I have spent the better part of my life touching lives  all over, it has become my lifestyle; I touch widows, orphans and the mammoth  less privileged all over, not just in my state Kwara
This trait was to eventually continue when I became A Rotary Governor, that herculean seat saw me traveling all over doing same thing, impacting life, and do not forget every January 14th which is my birthday used such day not for merriment with myself and family, I use that day to dedicate  being with masses, so since I HAVE been doing that myself and under Rotary, I felt it is only logical and practical that every January 14th instead of just being with the less privileged or widows/orphans, why not face a very large crowd, the public and bring up topic of discussion that if well implemented by listening audience can change their lives for good, hence the motivation of the annual Mike Omotosho lecture

On his message for youths who have phobia for agriculture the astute Omotosho divulged that The “Youths of today must be enlightened on the benefit of them loving and taking agriculture as full fledge career, it is not a crime to do something different today to boost the low  or less-fancied image of agriculture among many youths today, for example we  have many private Universities, the Afe Babalola University; the Igbinedion University; the Elizade universities, so why not we come up, say with a full fledge agriculture University like the University of Cassava, where young student can learn all about the billions that come out from the end result of the Cassava circle? We must make every effort to change the perception our youths have on agriculture today, and we hope that the Mike Omotosho 2017 lecture, tagged: Agricultural sector in view of unveiling opportunities available within and proposing solutions for lingering challenges in the Nigerian Agricultural sector towards a sustainable economic growth."     Will in no small way help change the bad mentality many nurse about agriculture
